Test suites and runs

Review generated test cases and execute them against your app.

A suite groups test cases. Each case contains actions and checks. A run executes selected tests and records the outcome.

Review a generated suite

  1. Complete a scan and wait for test generation.
  2. Open Tests in the project.
  3. Inspect a suite's cases and steps.
  4. Confirm that the tested role, target page, inputs, and expected behavior are appropriate.

Generated tests reflect what the scanner observed. Review expectations before using a suite as a release check, especially for content that changes frequently.

To add a case, edit steps, or approve reviewed tests, follow Create and edit tests.

Start a run

Select the suites or cases you want to execute and start the run. Open Runs to monitor it and inspect the final results.

For a focused first run, choose a small suite representing an important workflow. Once it behaves as expected, include it in CI or a schedule.

Interpret case outcomes

OutcomeMeaning
PassedThe executed checks passed.
FailedA check or execution failed; inspect its evidence.
SkippedThe case was not executed or was skipped.
Needs reviewA softer content expectation needs review even though the harder checks passed.

Do not count skipped cases as demonstrated coverage. A needs-review result should be triaged even when it does not block CI.

Investigate and repeat

Open the affected run and case to inspect steps, screenshots, recordings, or error details when available. Re-run failed only includes failed and needs-review cases.

Correct the app, access, data, or expectation as appropriate, then rerun the relevant tests. Re-scan when the underlying workflow has changed enough that the generated suites need refreshing.

Use Browser and test selection for a focused run or Composite suites for a larger workflow.
